Featured Project and Prism Award Winning Kitchen

Converting a porch into a kitchen is not an obvious design choice, however it was the perfect transition for this 1904 home. The island post shown above were the findings from an antique hunt several years prior by the clients. Weathered and aging (the post, not the clients)for several years in the yard, the old gate post finally realized their purpose. This kitchen was awarded a Prism Award for reuse and conversion for building and design. The best reward is that the homeowners love their kitchen!

This conversion project was one of the most satisfying projects of my career. It was a labor of love and will always be special to me. Restoration brings and additional layer of commitment and love to preserve the essence of the home.

1930’s English Inspired Home

This Braintree, Massachusetts home was a respite for two male owners requesting a current take on traditional English decor.

In the kitchen we opted for durable mid-range cabinetry with a gray stain, allowing leeway in the budget to splurge on the handmade tile, installed in a herringbone pattern.

The kitchen won the Silver Prism Award for Excellence in Interior Design. This project was featured in the Boston Globe and made top 10 Real Estate 2020 list.
