We were thrilled to be included in October 2021’s Issue of Hey Rhody speaking about fall design ideas.

“Lighting is the mother of enhancers; no matter what house I’m in or the style I’m emphasizing, every light is on a dimmer,” says Cortizo. “From living spaces to bookcase interiors and bathrooms – dimmers! I also burn candles every day because why not? Flowers bring added life, music brings depth to the air, and I use everything. Inspiration is found in many ways. At Cortizo Interiors, it begins with the client.


The fall of 2018 “Heading Home to Dinner” event to Kim Macumber, Linda Holt and myself to Morocco. The three of us designed this table to raise funds for the homeless in the Boston area. The event founded by Mally Skok, Elizabeth Benedict and Kristen Rivoli raised $111,000.00 that year. The event is one of the brightest lights in Boston from the design community.

How to make a house your home? I always start with editing out anything that I don’t need or love. I want to look at everything in my home and have it elevate my thoughts or make a connection to something meaningful to me.
A home should tell a story in a way that is curated and not overwhelming. A visual conversation that one eases into when entering, an exchange that teases one into wanting more.
